A couple weeks ago was Armed Forces Day at school. One of our dad's is a Maj. Gen in the Marines. Mr. Muller came with several marines and they brought the students MRE's(meals ready to eat) for lunch.
After lunch was Basic Training for the students. It started with exercises and drill's, then a 2 mile run. Brooke and Billy were both picked to be leaders of a team. Brooke was the only girl in her class that went through the entire 3 hours of training. The students were allowed to drop-out anytime.
Last Sunday afternoon we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We went through the corn maze, visited the animals and took a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins. Such a fun day!
I have been told that I need to update my blog. So, I will start with our new kitten. We decided to call her Minnie for several reasons: she is only 1 pound 1 ounce, she has a M on her forehead, and we love Minnie Mouse. She may be small but she has a huge personality. Pretty cute!
I love new beginnings, fresh starts, making lists and resolutions, so it's no wonder I adore the start of a brand new year. I'm eagerly looking forward to all that 2009 has to bring and sharing that all here with you. Happy 2009!
Can you believe that Christmas is finally here??? My how fast this month and year went. Billy and Brooke are counting down the hours, and the torture is killing them! Was I really like this as a kid? Not being able to wait just one more day to see if Santa came.
Well I have enjoyed this time off with the kids. We have been busy with decorating and craft projects. The kids had fun decorating a gingerbread house and train.
We are off to church tonight to celebrate Christ's birth with a Candlelight Service. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve. Love to you all!
Just another installment of pictures from our Summer. These were taken when Kristi, Gavin and Renna came, before we made our way back to Maine. A trip to the zoo always makes for a fun day!
My niece SaRenna turned 6 yesterday. I hope you had a wonderful Birthday. I was lucky to spend a good part of my Summer with her and she has grown into such a beautiful, sweet girl. I miss you sweetie, but will see you in about 9 days. Love you
