Scrapbook layouts

I have finished some layouts lately. Some are layouts that just needed journaling or a finishing touch, some are new. Enjoy!

So Proud!

Billy received his 1st semester grades today. I met with his teacher Mrs. K for a parent teacher meeting this afternoon. She is proud not only of the work he puts into his studies, but for how he has grown as a person in these last few months. Something that has touched me the most lately is his spiritual growth. When he goes up to his bed for the night he has time with the Lord and reads his Bible. What a touching thing this is as a parent to witness. I am just so very proud of him! I have to brag a little more and share his grades.

SNOW DAY

This was the scene here this morning! Its not much (not even an inch), but its rarity is now documented and I finally have some "snow" pictures! At 6:30, I got the call from the headmaster that school was canceled because of the snow. Billy and Brooke were super excited to see the snow. They were dressed and outside early, and so very proud of the snowman they built. They informed me that he is a Patriots fan and is ready to watch the game! Have a great day!

Brooke's Birthday Party

Today, we went to Archiver's (scrapbook store) to celebrate Brooke's birthday with a few of her friends. She had a card making party and they made Valentine's cards. What a great group of little girls and what a fun time we had together! Enjoy the pictures.

i *love* scrapbooking

For all you scrapbookers out there, do you ever just stop and think to yourself, "wow, I really love this hobby."

The last few days as I have been creating layouts that I love I just keep thinking to myself how much I love recording my family's memories. How much I love looking at the photos, how much we will treasure these albums and the memories they hold...now and well into the future.

I can't get over how big my kids are getting, how fast they grow up, how precious those early memories are to me. It reminds me to treasure those everyday moments and to remember to record them... those everyday memories are the ones that you hold onto forever.

New Years Resolutions

Its officially January 2008 and it is time for New Years Resolutions! I have lots of goals for this year. Here they are-

For Family-
* to read more with Billy and Brooke
*to build on the kids savings
*do a creative activity every day with Billy and Brooke
*pay attention to and nourish my kids interests and talents
*work on home improvements together
*teach my children more about Jesus, and have devotions with them
*spend more quality time as a couple
*eat more healthy
*exercise as a family

Creatively-
*start making Christmas cards and gifts early for 2008, throughout the year. Make a list, and store it in an organized way
*do something with my creativity. Start turning in some of my work. Get published in a scrapbook magazine
*take photography classes

Personal Goals-
*to become more healthy. I want to truly progress this year. Have more self discipline and will power
*to let go of things I have no control over
*to live each moment to the fullest
*to grow closer to the Lord. I want to study and read my Bible and find peace and knowledge within its pages
*to continually find joy and happiness in the simple things of life
* volunteer
*to be a better friend
*to be a better mother. More patient, and listen to what they are saying
*to become more involved at church
*to become a better wife, and grow more as a couple
*get more organized

I am going to print it, and post it somewhere that I can see often. Maybe here by my desk. Obviously this is a BIG list. I don't expect to meet every goal. I wont be disappointed or discouraged if I don't achieve something here. This is a *goal* list... a reminder of the person I desire to grow into, and a gentle nudge to keep doing some of the things that really benefit me and our family. If I complete any of these items, I will know that I have achieved success, and for that I will be happy.

Happy New Year!

We spent the day at home, playing with the kids, playing football, games and just hanging out. We went over to the Key's house to have dinner and hang out with them. We also got a tiny bit of snow last night!

Hope everyone had a relaxing and fun day.
